Since March some of our year 7 and 8 pupils have been working with Grace Owen, a PhD Tutor from the University of Birmingham, as part of The Scholars Programme. They have completed university style tutorials and submitted an assignment titled 'Back to My Own Country': Windrush, Migration and Belonging in Modern Britain. This assignment was at GCSE level! On Thursday, the 7th of July they visited the University of Bristol where they graduated from the programme. All the pupils received a 2:1 grading (equivalent to a B) or above, an outstanding achievement. A special mention also goes to Jess and Olivia for speaking so well about their studies and assignment during the ceremony.
